On March 23rd 2016 Larraine presented the Keynote address for Broads Circle’s program titled ” The Chief Lawyer and The Corporate Board”. She spoke about the need for courage on the part of the Chief Lawyer in protecting the Board as well as the CEO sometimes from themselves as well as the evolution of Chief Lawyer into leader, manager and team player – leader of the legal team as well as outside counsel, manager of the talent (fast to fire and slow to hire) sometimes globally, and advisor and facilitator of the peer senior leadership team.

She also spoke about the Paradigm for Parity movement towards gender parity in pay and position and how 3 women on a board cause the issue of gender to disappear -that is, all board members play important roles and a board with almost or equal gender parity causes the gender issue to be a non issue.
